Accessibility

This website is designed to support keyboard navigation, small screens and reduced motion. It is not a claim of formal accessibility certification.

Motion controls

The decorative particle field starts automatically and provides a visible pause button. The corner entrance plays automatically on every page load and takes 1.5 seconds. The sphere then gradually slows over the next 4.5 seconds. With reduced motion enabled, its final ambient speed is a quarter of the normal speed. You can pause it completely at any time. Animation also stops while the page is hidden.

Interactive edition

Desert Storm is an optional visual and audio experience with pause, mute, quality and fullscreen controls. It uses WebGL2 and needs JavaScript. A still preview and the artwork description remain available if it cannot run. Camera interaction is optional; mouse and touch controls are also available. The particle artwork is not accompanied by a full nonvisual equivalent or an audio transcript.

Additional digital editions

The interactive artworks provide pause and fullscreen controls. Contemplating Life supports left/right keyboard rotation; Breathing Fields can be explored with pointer, touch or a keyboard breath control without a microphone; SenzSkin 2.0 provides keyboard-accessible pH selection, Back and English/Romanian controls. Inverted Panopticon requires a working camera to create reflections. Feature Fusion’s gallery can be viewed without making a camera contribution. These visual works do not have full nonvisual equivalents.

Reading and navigation

A skip link moves directly to the main content. Headings, navigation landmarks, visible focus indicators and descriptive image alternatives support assistive technology. Artwork content and legal pages remain available without JavaScript. Images of artworks are documented in text; the particle effect contains no essential information.

Responsive presentation

The layout adapts to desktop and mobile screens. Navigation can be used by keyboard, mouse or touch. Browser zoom is not restricted.

Accessibility limitations

The visual artworks do not include full audio descriptions. This website does not publish an audited accessibility conformance statement.

Visitor preferences

Accepting enables participation analytics on exhibition pages and interactive editions: navigation, active time, clicks, touch, sampled pointer positions, scroll, artwork controls, errors and contribution events. We also record your full IP address, browser and device information.

We do not record or save video or microphone audio. Camera and microphone effects run locally on your phone or computer. Feature Fusion is the exception for a photo you choose to submit; its processing and storage are explained before you send it.

Session heatmaps and reconstructed visits help us study how the exhibition is explored. They do not record camera images, microphone audio, passwords or the contents of text fields. Administrators can view participation records; these are not shown in the public gallery.

Interactive editions require acceptance. Declining keeps presentation pages available. Camera and microphone access always require a separate browser permission. Feature Fusion explains its AI image processing and gallery publication before you submit a contribution.

Participation records, reconstructed visits and generated artworks have no automatic expiry. The team reviews whether continued retention remains necessary for the research. Withdrawing stops future collection; it does not automatically erase existing records. Contact the exhibition team through the privacy notice for an existing-record request.

Google Analytics is not connected. Any change to analytics services will be reflected in the notice and storage inventory before activation. Cloudflare separately delivers and protects the website.
